Kailash Parikrama: The Ultimate Spiritual Walk

The Kailash Parikrama, also known as Kora, is the most significant part of the tour. Pilgrims believe that completing one full parikrama washes away the sins of a lifetime, while 108 parikramas lead to enlightenment.

The parikrama typically takes 3 days and passes through high-altitude terrain, including the challenging Dolma La Pass (5,630 m). Though physically demanding, the journey is spiritually uplifting and deeply rewarding.

For those unable to walk, pony and porter services are available, making the yatra accessible to a wider range of pilgrims.

Best Time for Kailash Tour 2026

The ideal season for the Kailash Tour is May to September 2026, when weather conditions are relatively stable and routes remain open. These months offer clearer skies, manageable temperatures, and safer trekking conditions.
